My daughter and I were new to China and Beijing, and only communicated with Google Translate (downloaded before travel to China and used with a VPN). The staff were excellent and accommodating. The setting beautiful with a distinct Chinese flavor. The location was excellent for walking to many historic central attractions. It is located in a pedestrian only district but taxi service is close.

Upon arriving to the hotel, we were a little leery since none of the staff could speak English. However, we were ultimately greeted with smiles and friendly gestures (including fruit and freshly brewed tea) and immediately felt at home. It is a smaller boutique hotel, but it's in a quiet area but a short walk from the Hutong and Dashilan areas as well as Tienanmen Square. The rooms are on the small side (with the TV on the other side of the bed). However, the advantage is that it warms up quickly when you turn on the heater. The staff is very willing to accommodate any of your needs at any time. The buffet breakfast was awesome with many options for both western and traditional Chinese food. This was a great and super adorable place to stay with really great staff. Can't go wrong.

A beautiful small boutique hotel that is well located. The room was nice and comfy but felt tight, as it was difficult to manoeuvre between the bed and the shelf where the refreshments and kettle were. For the price and pictures, I was expecting it to be somewhat bigger. The staff was very nice and helpful, offered refreshments and snacks, helped organize transportation as well. For this type of place, I was surprised they did not speak basic English and relied on mobile translation apps. Regardless, all went well and I had a nice stay. Breakfast was good too, local and western choices were available.

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in Oct . The hotel was clean and very boutique like . It was nice to stay in a unique stylish hotel which had a Chinese influence rather than in a chain hotel . The room was spacious and very nicely decorated . The location is great . You can walk to the shopping square - quinman . Lots of shops ,coffee houses and places to eat . If you venture into the side streets you will stumble upon loads of small souvenir shops and they are really really cheap !! This hotel is very central to tourist sites such as tianaman square and forbidden city . If you walk around you'll see lots of attractions . The summer palace was a taxi ride away bout 30-35 min and the temple of heaven was bout 25 min in a taxi . Taxis are very cheap. The hotel call you taxis if required . The staff are ALL so FRIENDLY and they do their best to help . They will go out their way to assist . It made our stay very comfortable as we knew we could seek advice on taxis and getting around from them . The breakfast was limited for vegetarians but still not too bad . They can also book the hotel taxi/ van for you to go back to the airport ,this cost us about £25. Overall a lovely hotel in a very good location .

The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. We do not speak Mandarin and they were so helpful in getting transportation for us and anything we needed. The rooms were very well equipped. Breakfast was ok, not a lot of western options, and the room where breakfast was served was not air conditioned and Beijing was very hot.
